In the course of this lecture central concepts for software quality-assurance will be presented. In the first part vital terms and concepts will be introduced and it will be explained, how software quality-assurance should be integrated in the software development process. In the second part important quality-assurance techniques and measures will be discussed, e.g. testing, static analysis, metrics and review techniques, while in the third part organizational aspects of software quality-assurance will be discussed, before some methods for evaluating software quality are presented. All mentioned quality-assurance techniques can be tried out on an ongoing example project in the accompanying exercise course. Students are supposed to work on the example project in groups, while intermediary results will be discussed in regular course meetings. In the fourth part we present and discuss methods and techniques to plan and monitor software development projects.
