Software engineering is concerned with languages, methods, and tools for the systematic construction of large and complex software systems. In software engineering, management of the software development projects plays a central role. This lecture gives an introduction into the management of software development projects. In particular, it covers the following disciplines: project management, configuration and change management, software processes, cost estimation, and process improvement.
