Welcome to the Research Group Software Construction
The Research Group is part of the Computer Science Department at the RWTH Aachen University and is headed by Prof. Dr. H. Lichter.
Current research is focused on software product lines, this includes the modelling of common and variable characteristics during the requirements engineering process for software product lines, architecture modelling for software product lines, the application of product line practices in the area of embedded software systems and furthermore process and tool support for the development and maintenance of hierarchical product lines.
The methods and tools developed in our group are validated in various industry cooperations.
Our teaching activities are centered around software engineering topics like object-oriented software construction, software quality assurance and project management, and include as well the practical application of the introduced approaches in laboratories and seminars.
